Debbi Chan
I did not become an artist. I was born an artist and have spent my life perfecting it. Because of sacrifice, a few good choices, and a bit of luck, I spend my days enjoying art. I wake at dawn and begin working on a piece and bedtime comes when the body gives out but most days that is twelve to fifteen hours. I do believe that good things come from hard work and that excuses are a detriment to creating art. I can truly say that I am rich with no money.
I believe people who are born knowing their passion, and calling of life are the luckiest, and truly the most talented people in this world.
You prove this theory for me!

Very excited for the book release. How do you feel at this point in your career?

Your works show wonderful expressions in the way you know how to captivate the atmosphere, and you happen to be such a multi skilled and talented artist, guided by your heart and your own authentic style, which truthfully shows in your very beautiful elaborated pieces of photograhy, carved and painted furniture, embroideries, paintings, glass elaborations and so much more!!!
I have “followed” your works since a few years by now, and each time by viewing a new piece of your works my eyes feel privileged to see these. Thanks for your great art,
Inge.
